Eyecare during the COVID pandemic
Following advice from Welsh Government and Optometry Wales we are able to safely offer you eye-care. We are working by appointment only so it is important to call us in advance in order to arrange a suitable time to visit the practice.
We are taking all the necessary precautions to keep you and our team safe. Here are just some of the changes we have made:
Extended 1 hour long appointment slots:
In order to limit the number of people moving through the practice we have significantly reduced the number of available appointment slots each day. As we are a small independent practice with just one consulting room we can offer a more relaxed, crowd-free experience.
So that we can follow social distancing guidelines we will carefully control the number of people inside the practice at any one time. If we need to come closer to you for any part of the examination or dispense of glasses we will use the necessary personal protective equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
When you next visit the practice things will look a little different. Our team is equipped with the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) so expect to see face masks, visors, gloves and aprons! We have also installed protective perspex screens on reception and dispensing desks.
Cleaning and disinfecting:
We are following the highest standards of cleaning and sanitation throughout the practice with thorough disinfection between each patient. Frames that have been tried on are individually cleaned and disinfected before going back on the shelf. We encourage regular hand washing and hand sanitising. All patients are required to use sanitising hand gel on entry to the practice.
As always, you can expect the same high standard of personal service and professional expertise.
